Wade Raines, Sr

Wade E. Raines, Sr., 59, of Van Wert died at 6:40 AM on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at the VA Northern Indiana Health Care Center in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He was born June 14, 1959 in Van Wert to the late Stella (Alsept) and Buddy Raines, Sr. On October 3, 1983 he married Emma (Tyler) and she survives in Van Wert.

Wade worked as a tree trimmer for many years, loved fishing, and was an avid outdoors-man. He also enjoyed playing cards, being with friends and family, and helping anyone who needed a hand- he certainly did not know a stranger. Wade was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps actively serving from 1977-1983.

In addition to his wife, Emma, Wade is survived by a son, Wade E. (Amelia Rase) Raines, Jr of Van Wert; grandchildren, Deserae Raines, Gaven Raines, Taylor Raines, Wade Raines, III, and Serenity Raines; great grandchildren, Winter Raines and Willow Burkhammer; sisters, Sue Raines, Linda Argabright, and Elaine (Ryan) Raines; a sister in law, Betty Raines; a brother, Mike Raines; and many nieces and nephew he loved dearly- some of which he raised as his own.

Wade was also preceded in death by a brother, Buddy Raines, Jr.
