Ronald Reno

Ronald Lawrence Reno, 69, of Convoy, passed away suddenly Sunday morning, August 16, 2020 at Van Wert Health Emergency Room. Ronnie was born on October 15, 1950, in Lima, to the late Ray Lawrence and Dorothy Jean (Wagoner) Reno.

He attended Crestview High School and retired from Taylor Made Glass in Payne, Ohio after 34 years. On July 09, 1968, Ronnie married his teenage sweetheart, Linda Hall. Together they shared years of memories.

An avid outdoorsman, he would always be out fishing or hunting everyday possible. He enjoyed teaching his grandchildren the skills of hunting and fishing. Ronnie was also always ready for a good card game. Nothing gave him greater joy than spending time with his grandchildren and great-granddaughter.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Linda of Convoy; daughters: Kathy (Mike) Speice of Paulding; Amy (Danny Owen) Pedersen of Lima; siblings: Danny (Vicky) Reno; Steve (Marilyn) Reno; Regina Reno; and his pride and joy, his grandchildren: Austin (Chelsea), Colby (Olivia Tempel) and Trevor (Natalie Schultz) Speice; Brandon and Lexi (Ritchie Eddy) Pedersen as well as his great-granddaughter, Haislea Speice.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Rachelle Seibert.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 21, 2020 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home 722 S. Washington St. Van Wert, OH 45891 with Pastor Dave Dignal, officiating. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 PM on Thursday, August 20, 2020 and again Friday, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
