June Adele (Poling) Taylor, 94, of Van Wert passed away at 10:40 AM on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Hearth & Home of Van Wert.
She was born on July 24, 1926, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late Delas and Mildred (Hanby) Poling. On October 23, 1949, she married Harlan Lewis Taylor, who passed away on November 23, 2001. Together, they shared 52 years of marriage.
June was a graduate of Van Wert High School.
She was the clerk for the Van Wert County Fair Board for many years.
June was a life member of the former Bethel United Methodist Church in Van Wert, where she was active with the United Methodist Women, vacation bible school and the strawberry festival.
Surviving are her three children, Eric (Gayle) Taylor of Decatur, Indiana, Jill (Mark) Blair of Ft Wayne, and Holly (Robert, deceased) Pettit of Urbana, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Derek (Michelle) Blair, Royce Blair, Taylor Blair, Gretchen (Nic) Gengo, Aubris (Alex) Harman, Dawn (Jason) Mulneix, Amanda Pettit and Nickolas Pettit; eight great grandchildren, Donovan, Dylan, and Jordan Gengo and Arthur, Asher, and Alrick Harman, Evan and Christopher Lane; a sister, Marilyn Bair of Van Wert; and sister in laws, Joni Poling of Baltimore, Maryland and Joan Poling of Van Wert.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son in law, Robert Pettit; two brothers, Larry and Roger Poling; and a brother in law, Carl Bair
The funeral will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, June 28, 2021, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Chuck Fenwick, officiating. Interment will follow in Ridge Cemetery, Middle Point, Ohio.
Visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 PM on Monday, June 28, 2021 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in June`s memory may be sent to the Van Wert County Fair Board.
