Helen J. Blanke, 87, died in her home Friday, October 8, 2021.
She was born February 14, 1934 to the late Paul and Iva (Chilcote) Demint. She married Charles Blanke in March of 1957.
Helen worked for numerous businesses throughout her 87 years. She worked for a credit union, a flower shop, a restaurant, and in manufacturing. She was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary. She was a member of the Independent Order of Foresters for more than 40 years. She also enjoyed bowling and crocheting.
She is survived by her children; Dennis Blanke and Laura Blanke, both of Van Wert, a sister; Carolyn Sue Craine of Vandalia, Ohio, six grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Charles Blanke, two daughters; Joanna East and Sandra Blanke, and a grandson; Austin Parton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to CHP Home Care and Hospice.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a date and time that is to be determined.
