Donna (Dailey) Baxter passed away Saturday, July 3 at 12:55PM at Highland Springs in Ft. Thomas KY.
She was born May 5, 1932 to Amos and Barbara (Weaver) Dailey who preceded her in death. On November 27, 1981, she married John Baxter, who preceded her in death on March 20, 2021.
The youngest of thirteen children, she was also preceded in death by six brothers and six sisters.
She worked as an Avon lady, at Derry Drugs, and Continental Can before leaving Van Wert County in 1984 for Gatlinburg, Tennessee where she and John operated Baxter's Stained Glass for the next 35 years. She loved talking with visitors at the shop, flowers, birds and driving through Smoky Mountain National Park.
She is survived by her children, Randall (Katina Walls) Burton of Newark, DE. and Krista Pillon of Burlington KY.; a stepson, William (Julie Baer) Baxter of Van Wert; grandchildren, Andrew Burton of Delaware, OH, Hunter and Chase Pillon of Burlington, KY, Robert Baxter of Albany, OH, and Eric Baxter of Van Wert; great grandchildren, Randal and Katyna Burton of Delaware, OH, and an "almost" son, Larry Krabbe of Punta Gorda, FL.
A funeral service for Donna will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert, Ohio. Burial will immediately follow in Ridge Cemetery, Middle Point, Ohio.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Donna's memory can be sent to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org.
