Deaven Marie Vedrinski, 23, passed away at Nationwide Children's Hospital on March 27, 2021. She was born February 27, 1998 to Tonja Vedrinski and Tim Vedrinski. She is preceded in death by her mother, Tonja, and grandparents Reba "Marie" Millay and Thomas Michael Millay. Deaven is survived by her loving father Tim Vedrinski, brother Kyle (Cindy) Erwin, nephew Gabe Erwin, niece Harper Erwin, and uncle Mike (Shannon) Millay. Deaven also leaves behind her much-loved cat Gizmo.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the ICU nurses at Nationwide Children's Hospital, most especially Ashley, Breanna, Sara, Missy, Jessica, Megan, Mary Beth, Heather, and Carol. You were wingless angels and provided stellar care throughout Deaven's stay. Thank you to John, Charlotte, Tim, and the rest of the Gender Road Christian Church.

Deaven lived life with strength and courage. She enjoyed the gym, Italian food, Christmas, the Columbus Zoo, fishing, and watching the season change in the fall. With family ever at her center, Deaven loved watching movies with her mom, spending quality time with her dad, and taking silly selfies with her nephew Gabe. Never one to be without a stash of snacks, Deaven was a major fan of chocolate, orange Power aid, and purple Doritos.

Throughout Deaven's life, she faced many challenges including diabetes, broken bones, and cancer. Even in the face of adversity, she never complained, drawing from the same strength so many people admired in her amazing mom. After suffering a significant injury in college, Deaven found her way to the Columbus School of Practical Nursing where she was attending her last trimester. Prior to her illness, Deaven was employed at the Canal Winchester Nursing and Rehab Center. There is no doubt that Deaven would have been a caring and compassionate nurse.

A note from her father: "Since mom passed in August, we became one. Her love gave me such strength. She taught me how to be a father and what unconditional love truly is. We will never be the same. See you and mom again someday."
