David Sheets

David Sheets, 50, of Van Wert, passed away unexpectedly on October 11, 2021 at his residence.

He was born on December 7, 1970, in Van Wert, to his late parents, Harold and Josephine (Hurley) Sheets.

David graduated from Van Wert High School and worked for Murphy's Trash Service for many years. He was a member of the Fox Hunters and enjoyed fishing with friends. David loved watching NASCAR. and was a big Michigan Wolverines fan.

He is survived by his son, Jacob Sheets; sister, Kerry (Scott) Brown; aunts: Mary O'Daffer, Esther Hilten, Ethyl Reynolds, uncle, Roy Hurley as well as several cousins.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by sons: Dave Sheets Jr, Dewayne Sheets; aunts: Pat Bighaum, Nancy Hilton; and grandparents: Clearance and Mary Ellen (Seeking) Hurley and Clayton and Avis Sheets .

A memorial service will be from 3 to 5 PM on November 7,2021 at Delaware City Vineyard,  32 Troy Road Delaware, Ohio 43015.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in David`s memory may be sent to Alspach-Gearahrt Funeral Home to assist with final expenses.
