Virginia R. Bourelle, 84, of Rockford, Ohio, died at 2:49 p.m. at the Van Wert County Hospital, Van Wert, Ohio on Wednesday, June 23, 2010. She was born to Wilbur and Beatrice (Gephart) Stover on August 7, 1925 in Rockford, Ohio. On January 19, 1946, she married Donald Eugene Bourelle; he preceded in death on March 26, 1993. Virginia lived all her life in the area. She was a member of the Rockford United Methodist Church, the Rockford United Methodist Women's Association, a member of the Cadet Nurse Corps, was the school secretary at the Rockford School, was a bookkeeper at the Rockford Stone Company, and retired from Teleflex in Van Wert, Ohio, after 22 years of service there. She also volunteered at the Laurels of Shane Hill in Rockford, Ohio. Surviving are six children: James (Jan) Bourelle, Van Wert, Ohio; Don (Jodi) Bourelle, Willshire, Ohio; Karen (Marc) Macrum, Littleton, Colorado; Melanie (Reg) Hinchcliff, Grover Hill, Ohio; Tami (Dorsey) Roth, Leo, Indiana; and Lisa (Robert) Brister, Willshire, Ohio. Two brothers also survive: Don (Rose) Stover, Goshen, Indiana and Robert Stover, Rockford, Ohio. Three sister-in-laws survive: Jeanne (Glenn) Diffee, Downey, California; Nina (Al) Newton, Kingman, Arizona; and Shirley Bourelle, Bishop California. Nineteen grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 12 stepgrandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford with Pastor Chip Steffy officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Rockford. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2-8 p.m., and on Saturday, from 9-11 a.m., prior to the service.
