Steven Tangeman

Steven Anthony Tangeman, age 67, of Van Wert, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2025, at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. He was born June 13, 1958, in Van Wert, to the late Anthony F. and Margaret Ann (Myers) Tangeman.

Steve was a dedicated grain elevator operator with Mercer Landmark in Convoy. A simple man at heart, he found peace in the outdoors-whether casting a line while fishing or dreaming of the wide-open landscapes of Wyoming.

He as an avid sprint car racing fan, often found cheering at Lima Land and Eldora Speedways, where he enjoyed the thrill of the races and the camaraderie of fellow fans. Above all, Steve was a proud grandfather who rarely missed a game or event, always showing up with unwavering support and love.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Dorothy Tangeman of Van Wert; his children, Joshua (Ashley) Tangeman of Wilshire, Mandi (Joseph) Fuerst of Van Wert, and Amy (Bruce) Workman of Van Wert; stepchildren, Jonathan (Ashley) of Van Wert and Tonya Slusher of Boston; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his sister, Katherine.
