WETZEL, Ohio — Scott E. “Skipper” Drake, 56, of Wetzel, went Home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 5:46 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2014, at Van Wert County Hospital, Van Wert, Ohio.
He was born Dec. 27, 1957, in Van Wert, to Leone F. (Husband — Rolland “Red” Pollock — Maiden Name Swartz) Pollock, who survives in Van Wert, and Dean E. Drake, who died June 22, 1996.
Other survivors include a child: Lyndsay Drake of Van Wert, brothers: Danny D. (Billie) Drake of Wetzel, and Troy (friend: Donna Riley) Drake of Rockford, Ohio, and sister: Lana Davies of Wilmington, N.C.
He had formerly worked at Lakeview Farms, Delphos, Ohio. He was a member of Zion Christian Union Church, Van Wert County, Ohio. He was an avid fisherman and loved garage sales.Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert. The Rev. Mark McKay will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery, Middle Point, Ohio.
Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Zion Christian Union Church.
