Romilda Marguerite Linton, 87, of Rockford, Ohio, passed away Monday, January 4, 2021, at her home. She was born July 3, 1933, in Neptune, Ohio, the daughter of Carl and Emma (Schwark) Becker. She was a graduate of Neptune High School, Neptune, Ohio. On October 6, 1957, she married Clifford R. Linton, and he preceded in death on June 21, 1977. Romilda lived her entire life in the area. She worked at Celina Insurance Group in Celina when she and Cliff were first married. She also worked at Tu-Way Products in Rockford. She was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church, Hopewell, in Celina, where she taught Sunday school for many years, and belonged to the church's women's association. Romilda enjoyed gardening and canning, and enjoyed growing her violets. She also had a collection of Indian-head pennies that she found through the years. She was a member of the Rockford Garden Club for many years also. She loved going to the kids' high school ball games—her family was everything to her—her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are her four children: Brenda (Joe) Art; Lee Linton; Louis (Anna) Linton; and Lloyd Linton, all of Rockford, Ohio; six grandchildren: Alan (Kalynn Miller) Art of Convoy, Ohio; Laura (Wes) Kohnen of Rockford, Ohio; Austin (Karen) Art of Tucson, Arizona; Katherine (Brad) Santos of Kilauea, Hawaii; Amanda (Zach) Stauffer of Convoy, Ohio; and Amber (Daniel) Shively of Albion, Indiana; and eleven great-grandchildren. Deceased are one brother, Louis Becker and a sister, Anna Springer.

Private services for the family will be held on Friday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, with Vicar Adam Poe officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Rockford. Memorials may be directed to St. John Lutheran Church, Hopewell, 9009 St. Rte. 118, Celina, Ohio, 45822. Condolences may be expressed at ketchamripley.com. Family members attending are required to wear masks and social distance due to the Covid pandemic.
