Robert Germann

OHIO CITY - Robert L. "Bob" Germann, 62, passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2010 at his residence.
He was born on Sept. 27, 1948 in Van Wert County, Ohio to Francis O. and Evelyn P. (Drake) Germann, both of whom are deceased. He married Carol (Harman) Germann of Ohio City, Ohio, on January 22, 1972.
Germann is survived by his daughter, Stephonie Knittle of Van Wert; a brother, Paul Germann of Ohio City; a sister, Kathy Germann of Ohio City; and two granchildren, Jestin and Danielle Knittle.
He was preceded death by two brothers, James and David Germann.
Germann was a member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church of Van Wert County, the Van Wert V.F.W. and American Legion. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War. Germann was retired.
A service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 29 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Timothy Sims officiating. A burial will follow at Evangelical Protestant Cemetery in Van Wert County. Military Graveside Services will be held by Van Wert VFW and American Legion Posts.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 28 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory.
