Robert E. Dailey, 64, Rockford, died Sunday, August 26, 2012, at 6:39 p.m. at Van Wert County Hospital, Van Wert. He was born January 27, 1948, in Decatur, Indiana, to Ralph and Estella (French) Dailey. On July 18, 1987, he married Betty Ann Burden, who survives.
Also surviving are one son: David (Tiffany) Burden, Mendon; two brothers: Dennis (Cindy) Dailey, Van Wert, and Mark Dailey, Celina; two sisters: Sandra Dailey, Celina, and Deb (Philip) Rigano, St. Charles, Missouri; and five grandchildren.
He was a 1966 graduate of Parkway High School, Rockford. He worked at Mercer Landmark, Rockford, and a member of the Rockford United Methodist Church. He was also a former member of the Rockford Fraternal order of Eagles Lodge#1292 and American Legion Post#508.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, August 30, 2012, at 7 p.m. at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, Pastor Chip Steffy officiating. Viewing will be held from 6-7 p.m. on Thursday. Memorials may be made to the family.
