MIDDLE POINT, Ohio - Ray O. Trammell, 81, Middle Point, died at 12:20 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, at St. Rita's Medical, Lima, Ohio.
He was born Sept. 26, 1930, in Scott County, Tenn., to the late Minnie (Terry) Trammell and Henry Trammell. His wife, Shirley J. (Klinger) Trammell, is deceased.
Survivors include his children: Diana J. Trammell of Middle Point, Steve (Rona) Trammell of Ohio City, Ohio, Kathy (Bryan) Variell of Middle Point, and Pamela (Rick) Slone of Convoy, Ohio; brothers: George (Sally) Trammell and Wallace Trammell, both of Winfield, Tenn., Howard (Ruth) Trammell of Morgantown, Ind., and Henry (Kathy) Trammell of Florida; sisters: Ruby Hauter of Middle Point, and Edna Mae Hill and Mary Joyce (Elmer) Roark, both of Indianapolis, Ind.; 10 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother: James Trammell.
He was a owner/operator truck driver.
Private family funeral services will be held. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery, Middle Point. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert, Ohio.
Preferred memorial is American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
