Pervis Whitt

Pervis L. Whitt, 60, of Van Wert, died at 8:28pm on Friday, June 20, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his family and loved ones . He was born November 1, 1964, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Peter and Sylvia (Liddell) Whitt. On April 12, 1990, Pervis united in marriage with his best friend and love of his life, Sondra Stetler. They went on to spend 35 years together, creating a beautiful life and family.

After receiving his Maintenance degree, Pervis worked for many years at Danfoss in Van Wert.

He was a handyman who was always willing to help anyone in need. In his free time, he enjoyed going to the casino. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren!

He is survived by his wife, Sondra Whitt of Van Wert; children, Jaclyn (Erick Maunz) Whitt, Erica (Alyssa) Mobley, Samantha (Charles Macklin) Whitt and Joshua (Melanie Keesler) Whitt; brothers, James (Robin) Simpson, Michael Whitt and Bruce (Amy) Whitt; and 9 grandchildren, Ryleigh, Raiden, Scarlett, Everett, Raelynn, Sadie, Miya, Ronin and Emberleigh.

Pervis was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Sylvia Whitt; mother and father in law, Dale, Sr and Jane Stetler; a grandson, Jaxton Maunz and a sister, Gwendolyn Simpson

Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert.

Visitation will be from 10:00am-12:00pm on Friday, at the funeral home.
