Margery Gibson

Margery Lee Gibson, 96, Rockford, died Thursday, October 14, 2010, at 10:09 a.m. at Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford. She was born May 20, 1914, in Spencerville, Ohio, to Clarence and Maggie (States) Lee. On November 19, 1949 she married James Frederick Gibson, who preceded her in death on August 16, 1994. Surviving are one son: Jim (Debi) Gibson, Rockford; five grandchildren: Sarah (Sidney) Gibson Ford, Katie (Brian) Gibson Garrett, Paula (Kent) Alt Bowers, Jeff (Diane) Alt, and Vicki (Jonathan) Gibson Harris; nine great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Deceased are one son Robert (RoseMary) Gibson, Celina; four sisters: Dorothy Singer, Berniece Lee, Mary Stoke, and Pauline Billheimer. She was a Lab Technician at The Fremont Company, Rockford, and was also a Beautician. She was a member of the Rockford United Mehthodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star Ch. 152, and was also a past Worthy Matron. Funeral Services are Saturday October 16, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, Pastor Chip Steffy officiating. Viewing is 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the Funeral Home.
