Margarete Matacek

Margarete Ann Matacek, 93, of Costa Mesa, California, died Wednesday afternoon, January 5, 2011, at the Mesa Verde Convalescent Hospital in Costa Mesa. She was born July 30, 1917, in Lima, Ohio, to Carl and Johanna (Roesner) Boyd. On September 1, 1959, she married George Matacek, and he survives in Costa Mesa. She had lived in California the past 48 years, originally living in the Lima and Dayton, Ohio areas. In Lima, she was employed as a payroll master and bookkeeper at Westinghouse.
Deceased is one brother, Fred Boyd, and one sister, Louise Slygh, both from Lima, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 10, 2011, at 1:30 pm at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford with Pastor Chip Steffy officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert, Ohio. Friends may call one half hour before the service at the funeral home.
