Lucille V. Zizelman, 90, of Rockford, Ohio, peacefully passed away on November 30, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on August 13, 1933, in Mendon, Ohio, to loving parents, the late Dean and Grace (Coil) Felver.
Lucille graduated in 1951 from Rockford High School. She worked for three years at Van Fleet Drug Store in Rockford. Lucille then went on to work for over 35 years at Huffy's Bicycle in Celina until retirement. She took immense pride in her work and was admired for her unwavering dedication and strong work ethic.
She was a member at Rockford United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Rockford United Methodist Church Women's Association. Lucille enjoyed playing pinochle, as well as other card games. She also enjoyed her taking care of her flower gardens and showing others her flowers, especially her lilies. But most of all, Lucille enjoyed spending time with her family.
Lucille will be greatly missed by her beloved husband, Dale Zizelman, whom she married June 30, 1951. Their love was a shining example of commitment and devotion, lighting the way for all who knew them.
Also surviving are one son, Mark Alan (Kathy) Zizelman of Celina; one daughter, Vicki (Barry) Clay of Celina; two brothers, Ronald Felver of Celina, and Denny (Paula) Felver of Hamilton, Indiana; one sister, Connie (Larry) Snyder of Cincinnati; five grandchildren, Ryan Clay of Rockford, Brent (Nikki) Clay of Celina, Melissa (Lucus) Minnich of Rockford, Corey (Garratt) Zizelman of Columbus, and Kyle (Julie) Zizelman of Washington State; and eleven great grandchildren, Camdyn, Cooper, Makynlie, Maylie, Holden, Hudsen, Sienna, Kruz, Taylor, Trevor, and Adeline.
She was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Dale Zizelman; and her sister-in-law, Lois Felver.
Fondly remembered for her warm and kind spirit, Lucille leaves behind cherished memories in the hearts of her surviving family members and friends. Though we mourn her loss, we take solace in knowing that she lived a life filled with love, laughter, and meaningful connections.
To honor the beautiful life of Lucille V. Zizelman, funeral services will be held at the Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home on December 5, 2023. The visitation will commence at 11:00 am, giving friends and family an opportunity to pay their final respects and share their fondest memories of Lucille. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm, where we will gather to celebrate the remarkable life she lived. Pastor Bill Halter will officiate. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, 3750 US-33, Rockford, Ohio 45882.
