Lois Klausing

Lois J. Klausing, 89, of Van Wert, died at 11:22 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2, 2017, at the Van Wert Manor. She was born Oct. 23, 1927, in Akron, Ohio, to Mabel (Harris) McNamara and Harold McNamara. Her parents are deceased.
Her husband, Lavern “Vern” Klausing, survives of Van Wert.
Other survivors include children, Lisa Klausing of New York City and James Klausing of Avon Lake, Ohio; son-in-law, Martin Vahtra of New York City; daughter-in-law, Chris Klausing of Avon Lake; sister, Joan Zinn of Van Wert, and grandchildren, Daniel Klausing, Lili Vahtra and Spencer Vahtra.
She was a homemaker. She attended St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Van Wert.
Service will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 6, 2017, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Van Wert. The Rev. Stanley Szybka will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert. Visitation is 3-6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert.
