VAN WERT - Larry J. DuCheney, 73, of Van Wert, died at 6:22 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, at Van Wert Hospital, Van Wert.
He was born Oct. 5, 1939, in Van Wert County, to Eileen (Feasby) DuCheney, who survives in Van Wert, and the late John M. DuCheney, who died in 1994.
His wife, Carole (Kable) DuCheney, died in 2003.
Survivors include his children: David (Roxanne) DuCheney of Discovery Bay, Calif., Douglas (Rhonda) DuCheney of Monroe, Ohio, and Cindy Long of Boise, Idaho; sister: Donna (Douglas) Welker of Van Wert; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
He moved to California and worked for United Air Lines then retired after years of service from United Van Lines in 2005.
He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Van Wert. He was a 1957 graduate of Van Wert High School and served in the U.S. Navy.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at Trinity United Methodist Church, Van Wert. The Rev. Scott Campbell will officiate.
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert.
