Kimberly Shortridge

January 14, 1969 — October 14, 2022

Thornville

Kimberly Marie Shortridge, 53, of Thornville, passed away at 5:49 PM on Friday, October 14, 2022 at Licking Memorial Hospital after a courageous three year battle with cancer. She was born on January 14, 1969, in Akron, and raised by her late parents, Harry E. and Marvene E. (Carroll) Robison.

A 1987 graduate of Newark High School, Kim was an amazing hairdresser who worked throughout the area. She cooked wonderful meals, and always from scratch. Known for keeping a clean house, she always had a meal ready for any visitor. Kim never met a stranger and was quick to lend her hand to help anyone in need.

Even though she was determined and firm, she was always positive. Her faith never escaped her and she remained close to God. She consistently chose to see the good and never let the bad get in the way. She loved to live on the wild side and was always brave enough to know that whatever came her way she could handle it. Kim never had room in her heart for hate, just love.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sydney S. (Chase Hostasa) Sauer of Thornville, OH; sons: Nicholas A. (Brandy) Murray of Corning, OH; John Huskdef of Howard, OH; grandchildren: Gracie and Gauge Murray; her former spouse and caretaker during her final days, Dan Murray of Thornville, OH; as well as her best friend, her dog, Lola.

Private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Kim will be laid to rest with her parents in Lutheran Cemetery, Newark, OH.
