John Wanner

John A. Wanner, 68, of Rockford, formerly of Columbus, Ohio, died Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at 3:50 p.m., at the Laurels of Shane Hill where he had been a patient.  He was born in Columbus, Ohio, on June 27, 1950, the son of John and Mary Catherine (Breen) Wanner, both who have proceeded in death.  After high school, John received a B.A. in Psychology and a Masters in Theology.  He was a member of the Society of Precious Blood.

Surviving are two sons:  Timothy Wanner, Illinois, and Matthew (Kristina) Wanner, of Monee, Illinois.  Also surviving are 3 brothers, 2 sisters, and 3 grandchildren.

John will be cremated and then taken to Illinois for a private family service.
