John R. Crocker, 62, of Ohio City, passed away on October 15, 2026, at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born on June 26, 1964, in Portland, Indiana, to his late parents, Howard and Linda (Richard) Crocker.

John graduated from Jay County High School in 1983. He worked for many years as a bartender at the Mark III Tap Room in Muncie, Indiana. He was a member of Shawnee Alliance Church, where he attended alongside his husband, Daniel.

John liked his bling and proudly collected more than 300 rings. He also enjoyed watching The Golden Girls. He had such a big heart and wore his kindness on his sleeve.

He is survived by his husband, Daniel Ambrose, with whom he spent 38 years; his brother, Jim (Barb) Crocker; stepson, Gerald (Linsey) Lemons; step‑grandchildren, Elexe and Evelynn Lemons; niece, Amy Norris; nephew, Rick Norris; two grandnephews; one grandniece; three great‑grandnephews; and several cousins.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
