Jerry Miracle

Jerry Miracle, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at the age of 86. He was born on September 7, 1938 in Bluffton, Indiana to the late George Harvey Miracle and Emma Elizabeth (Reynolds) Miracle Hubert. Emma went on to marry Jerry's step-father, the late Charles E Hubert.

Jerry was a 1957 graduate of Van Wert High School. He married Rebecca L. (Hofacker) Miracle on January 9, 1962. She preceded him in death on April 21, 2004. He then married Rosa (Benavidez) Rosales Miracle on August 13, 2005, who preceded him in death on April 26, 2024.

He retired from the U. S. Army, after serving 22 years in the military police. He had been stationed in many overseas countries. Among other service obligations, Jerry served in the Vietnam conflict. He is a life member of the Van Wert VFW Post #5803, a life member of the Van Wert Chapter #54 of the DAV, and a life member of the Van Wert American Legion Post #178. After retiring from the military, Jerry worked at Aeroquip (now Danfoss) in Van Wert for 22 years.

Jerry is survived by his children; Joyce Pike of Ruidoso, New Mexico, Belinda (Mike) Springer of Van Wert, Melissa (Doug) Babcock of Ruidoso, New Mexico, Jay (Kristin) Miracle of Cleveland, Ohio, and Carolyn (Andy) Vonderembse of Van Wert; seventeen grandchildren; twenty five great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and many brothers and sisters in law, nieces, and nephews, too many to count.

In addition to his parents and wives, he was preceded in death by two infant children, Micheal D. and Misty D. Miracle; and his siblings; Geraldine Miracle, Gilbert L. Miracle, Rose Ann Thomas, and Ruth Ell Miracle.

A funeral celebration of Jerry's life will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, June 19, 2025 at Alspach Gearhart Funeral Home, 722 South Washington Street, Van Wert, Ohio 45891, with Pastor Dave Ray officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Woodland Cemetery, 10968 Woodland Avenue, Van Wert, Ohio.

The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Thursday June 19, 2025, at Alspach Gearhart Funeral Home, 722 South Washington Street, Van Wert, Ohio 45891.
