VAN WERT, Ohio a�" Janice L. Emans, 59, of Van Wert, died at 3:17 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
She was born Jan. 15, 1955, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Elizabeth "Betty" (Coate) Emans and Merl Emans. Her stepmother, Dolores "Pete" (Redmon) Emans, survives in California.
Other survivors include a sister: Shreena Fornear of Clifton, Colorado.
She was preceded in death by a brother: Robert Coate.
She retired from the United States Army National Guard. She also worked as a cashier at the Van Wert Wal-Mart and was a member of Good Shepard of the Nazarene Church in Van Wert.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home, Van Wert. The Rev. Stuart Wyatt will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert.
Visitation is 3-7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16 at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
