Jackie Wells

Jacqueline “Jackie” L. Wells, 87, of Van Wert, OH, died 7:52PM Tuesday September 18, 2018 @ Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center, Van Wert, OH.  Jackie was born December 18,1930 in Van Wert, OH to Herbert “Poke”  & Bernice (Johnson) Brotherwood.  On June 7,1952 Jackie married Cleo E. Wells.  Both her parents and her husband preceded her in death.

Surviving are her children Ron (Linda) Wells of Van Wert, OH, Sheryl (Jim) Burns of Flint, MI, Jenny (Stan) Lichtenberger of Van Wert, OH and Daughter In Law Cindy Wells of Convoy, OH.  Son Ed Wells is deceased. Jackie was blessed with 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. One grandchild is deceased.  One sister Betty (Orville) Shook of Colon, MI survives. Two brothers Gerald and Thomas Brotherwood are deceased.

Jackie retired as an LPN working at Vancrest & Lincolnway Nursing Homes. She was a 35 year volunteer for the American Red Cross and a former member of N.A.P.N.E.S. & L.P.N.A.O.  She loved her Grandchildren, quilting and baking.

Funeral services will be 2:00PM Saturday September 22, 2018 @ Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory. Calling will be 2-8PM Friday September 21,2018 @ Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will be in the Ridge Cemetery, Middle Point, OH.  Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross OR Vancrest Activities Fund.
