Franklin Mitchell

Franklin L. Mitchell, 66, of Van Wert died Thursday, June 23, 2016, at his residence. He was born May 22, 1950, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Franklin L. and Anna (Dumschatt) Mitchell, both who preceded him in death.
He was formerly married to Linda Mitchell, who survives in Van Wert.
He is also survived by his children, Jason Mitchell of Van Wert and Eric Metzger of Van Wert; his brother, Heiko (Barbara) Pollem of San Diego, California; his sister, Anna Luedeke of Thomasville, North Carolina; and grandchild, Britney Mitchell of Van Wert.
He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Harry and Wolfgang Pollem.
He retired as an engineer from ITT in Rochester, Michigan, and formerly worked at Teleflex, VWOH for 20 years.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home, Van Wert.
