Doris Ley

SYRACUSE, Ind. a�" Doris E. Ley, 83, of Syracuse, formerly of Van Wert, Ohio, died at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 31, 2014, at her residence.
She was born Feb. 2, 1930, in Van Wert, to the late F. Marie (Adams) Edwards and Lawrence Edwards.
Her husband, Dr. Dean E. Ley, died Feb. 6, 2013.
She is survived by one son, Devin K. Ley of Elkhart, Ind.
She was preceded in death by daughter-in-law: Mikki Ley, a brother: Kenneth Edwards, and a sister: Dorothy Jean Edwards.
She was a homemaker. A member of First Presbyterian Church in Van Wert, she was very involved in her church.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home and Crematory in Van Wert. The Rev. Hal Shafer will officiate. Burial will be in Convoy I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Convoy, Ohio.
Calling is from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is the Children's fund at First Presbyterian Church in Van Wert, Ohio
