Chad A. Shindeldecker, 50, died at his residence in Ormond Beach, Florida, on Tuesday evening, September 17, 2013. He was born on February 28, 1963 in Celina, Ohio, to Frank Jr. and Patricia A. (Marsee) Shindeldecker. He graduated from Parkway High School, Rockford, in 1981 where he loved participating in football and track. Chad then attended International Business College in Ft. Wayne, Indiana and majored in Accounting. He then moved to Florida, where he has lived the past 30 years. Chad was employed at Walmart in Port Orange, Florida and part time at Dean's Florist in Daytona Beach, Florida. He previously managed a Subway restaurant in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Surviving are his father, Frank Shindeldecker, Jr. of Ohio City, Ohio; his mother, Patricia A. (Bob) Froning of St. Marys, Ohio; and his sister, Lisa (Edward) Keipper of Rockford, Ohio. A brother, Chris Shindeldecker is deceased.
Services for Chad will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, with Pastor Chip Steffy officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Rockford. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 pm-8:00 p.m. and on Thursday, one hour prior to the service.
