Carey Huffine
September 2, 1923 — February 17, 2013
Carey Eugene Huffine, 89, of Huntsville and formerly of Van Wert, died at 9:30 p.m. Sunday, February 17, 2013, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born September 2, 1923, in Van Wert, the son of the late James and Ritta (Terry) Huffine. He married Evelyn B. (Rase) Huffine, who preceded him in death on June 3, 1976.
Survivors include two children, Joyce (Robert) Chicone of Euclid and Jerry Huffine of Greenville; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A son, Bobby Eugene Huffine; and four brothers, Barn, Otto, Lynn and Calvin Huffine, also preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon Friday, February 22, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Greg Wack officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
Calling hours are from 11 a.m.-noon Friday at the funeral home.
