SCOTT, Ohio a�" Bradly A. Matthews, 36, of Scott, died at Sunday, April 12, 2015, in Eckerman, Michigan.
He was born Sept. 15, 1978, in Van Wert, Ohio, to Shelly (John Brown) (maiden: Brotherwood) Thomas of Van Wert and Steven (Kathy) Matthews of Scott.
He married Jamie (McCoy) Matthews who survives in Scott.
Other survivors include children: Ashley Matthews, Lauren Matthews, Evan Matthews, Adilynn Shaffer; stepchildren: Cole Allison, Timothy Shepherd, Nathaniel Shepherd; half brother: Nathan Thomas, and sister: Heather Karnehm of Van Wert.
He worked at Unverferth Corporation in Delphos, Ohio. He was a member of Scott Volunteer Fire Department, a 1997 graduate of Wayne Trace High School, and enjoyed spending time at his cabin in Michigan.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert. Burial will be in Scott Cemetery, Scott.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2015, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials may be directed the Scott Volunteer Fire Department or to Brad's family.
