Adah Taylor

VAN WERT, Ohio - Adah M Taylor, 92, of Van Wert, died at 10:28 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, at Van Wert County Hospital, Van Wert.
She was born Oct. 22, 1918, in Roane County, W.Va., to the late Clara (Craft) McCoy and Irvin McCoy. On Oct. 24, 1939, in Unadilla, Ga., she married Benjamin M. Taylor. He died June 28, 1979.
Survivors include her children: Edward (Jane) Taylor of Convoy, Ohio, and Patricia Whiteman of Van Wert; a sister-in-law: Joanne McCoy of Van Wert; her grandchildren: Jodi (Brett) Young of Findlay, Ohio, Darrin (Shanay) Taylor of Van Wert and Meagan Whiteman of Denver, Colo.; great-grandchildren: Mitchell, Wyatt and Taylor Young, and Chelsea, Alyssa and Austin Taylor, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Wilford McCoy and Jesse McCoy, and two sisters: Blondena Blaney and Berdie White.
She was a homemaker and a former member of North Union United Methodist Church. She attended Pleasant Chapel United Methodist Church, both in Van Wert County.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert. The Rev. Paul Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Taylor Cemetery, rural Van Wert County, Ohio.
Calling hours are noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is CHP Hospice Program, Van Wert.
