Rachel Boroff

Rachel M. Boroff, 32, of Middle Point, passed away unexpectedly early Wednesday morning, June 27, 2018 at Van Wert County Hospital. She was born January 25, 1986, in Van Wert, to Brad and Michelle (Ross) Boroff.

A 2004 graduate of Van Wert High School, Rachel began her career at Ridgeview Behavior Health in the kitchen as a cook. She worked her way up to a tech and eventually put herself through nursing school, as a single mother, to become a registered nurse at Ridgeview.

As a result of her own struggles, Rachel poured her heart and soul into her work. She loved and cared for her patients with all that she had. She was a beautiful, bright and vibrant soul who impacted many lives. Rachel loved her children & family with all that she was and will be deeply missed by them all.

She is survived by her children, Brynn & Amidy; mother and step-father, , Michelle & Jeff Bates of Van Wert; sisters, Sara Boroff of Toledo; Deanna (Randy) Grandstaff of Covoy; as wel as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins who all loved her very much.

Rachel was preceded in death by her father, Brad; grandparents, Keith & Roberta Ross; Kenneth & Flossie Boroff; and cousin, Dustin Busch.

A celebration of Rachel’s life will be held 10:30 am, Wednesday, July 4, 2018, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory.

Visitation will be from 2 – 5 & 6 - 8pm, Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts and contributions to her children would be greatly appreciated.
