JoAnn Bland

JoAnn Faye (Gilbert) Bland, 80, a longtime resident of Monroeville, Indiana died Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Colonial Nursing Center, Rockford, Ohio.

She was born March 17, 1937 in Van Wert County, Ohio to the late W. Keith Gilbert and Leona (Beucler) Gilbert Schlemmer.  She married Larry C. Bland on August 23, 1957 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana and he survives.

She had 2 children, L. Dean Bland (Deceased) and Jacqueline (Jeffrey) Caffee survives of Geneva, Indiana.  She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Amber Roman of Decatur, Indiana, Keith Roman of Decatur, Indiana, Zackary Caffee of Rockford, Ohio and Jacob Caffee of Celina, Ohio; and 4 great granddaughters

JoAnn was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Monroeville.  She retired from Indiana Workforce Development.  JoAnn enjoyed life, travel, summers at Crooked Lake and winters in Manasota Key, Florida.

A private memorial service and celebration of life will be held in memory of JoAnn.  Memorials may be directed to State of the Heart Hospice, Coldwater, Ohio.  In lieu of flowers and other bereavement gifts the family also requests to honor JoAnn by visiting the elderly and shut-ins.
