Marguerite Young

Marguerite J. Young, 77, of Van Wert, died at 2:25 a.m. Sunday, July 30, 2017, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice.

She was born June 20, 1940, to Cora Jean (Mosier) Corlew and Ivan Rudd Corlew. Her parents are deceased.

Her husband, Rev. Jack A. Young, is deceased. They were married Aug. 20, 1958.

Survivors include children, David A. (Kelley) Young of Van Wert, Daniel R. (Cheryl) Young of Chicago, Illinois, Lynda (David) Conn of Van Wert and Laura Young of San Antonio, Texas; a brother, Jon (Cass) Corlew of Cleveland, Ohio; a sister, Pat (Richard) Martzall of New Mexico; grandchildren, Alycen (Kyle) Urban, Jordan (Lindsi) Conn, Jackson Young, Noah Sease, Cora Sease, Nikki Young, Carlee Young, Cooper Young and Kinsley Young, and great-grandchildren, Adalynn and Liam Young, Owyn and Ayden Urban, Vanessa Conn.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen “Kathy” A. Young.

She worked as an office secretary for Nationwide before moving to Starr Commonwealth School where she retired. She was a member of First Friends Church, Van Wert. She was very active in her church and volunteered weekly her time at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice.

Service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Van Wert Inpatient Hospice.
