Bill L. Peters, 79, of Van Wert, died at 11:40 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, at the Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center, Van Wert.

His mother, Lela (McGhough) Ludy, and father, Elmer Ludy, preceded him in death as did his in-laws, Doris and Therman Charleston.

His beloved wife of 60 years, Marilyn (Charleston) Peters, survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include his sons: Rick and Randy Keller; daughters: Kathi Allgood, Karla Jensen and Kris Keller; a brother: John Ludy; sister: Judy Grogg, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son: Donald G. Peters; brothers: Don and Tom; sister: Janet, and a great-grandson: Austin Boroff.

He was an over-the-road truck driver of 45 years. He enjoyed fishing, horseback riding and playing cards. Most of all he loved spending his time with his family and friends.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Gearhart & Jurczyk Funeral Home, Convoy, Ohio. The Rev. Paul Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ohio City, Ohio. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at the funeral home.
