VAN WERT, Ohio - Larry D. Nihiser, 74, of Van Wert, died at 8:20 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was born Sept. 16, 1938, in Van Wert, to the late Erma M. (Fackler) Nihiser and Lawrence A. "Tom" Nihiser.

His wife, Faye Ann (Roth) Nihiser, survives of Van Wert. They were married June 27, 1964.

Other survivors include a brother: Jerry W. (Carol Lynne) Nihiser of Van Wert, and one sister: Sandra Kay (Jerry) Zeigler of Bluffton, Ind.

He retired in 1994 from Aeroquip Corporation, Van Wert, after 33 years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force Air National Guard serving with the 122nd Squadron in France. He was a member of Van Wert American Legion and Moose Lodge. Larry was an outdoorsman and mushroom hunter and was an avid supporter of the National Rifle Association (N.R.A.).

Private family services will be held at Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert, with military graveside services conducted by the Van Wert American Legion and V.F.W. Posts.
